Job Description: Commercial Construction Estimator
Thomas Construction is seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Estimator to join our Commercial Construction team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of hands-on estimating experience in commercial building, multi-family and hospitality projects and a strong understanding of construction means, methods, materials, and costs. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive bids, analyzing project documents, and working closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients. May require travel to our Home office in Missouri for training. Pay is based on experience.
- Minimum 1 years of estimating experience in commercial construction (required).
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and building codes.
- Proficiency with estimating software
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Excellent math, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
